Will I ever be “Good Enough”?

Will I ever be “Good Enough”?

I hear my inner critic asking me this question again and again.

Am I good enough?

Will I ever be?

Do you hear it saying the same, again and again?

Hear me out, you are not ALONE, my friend!

I hear you, I have something to share with you today.

Every human being I have ever come across no matter what profession they are in and where they are on their journey feel the same way. This is especially the case with creatives like you and me. The one thing that holds them back from reaching where they want to be is this habit of self-sabotage and giving in to the fear of not being good enough.

If you ever come across a creative and they tell you they are not afraid of anything. Watch out!

As Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Big Magic) puts it,

“They might be a psychopath.”

If you constantly find yourself wondering and dwelling on such fears, I want you to know that you are perfectly fine and HUMAN. This is what makes us human. Perfectly imperfect in our own unique way.

you want to be able to move past it so you can do the greater work that you are meant to do. The choice is still yours.
It will always be. All you have to do is, hear yourself out, let your mind say whatever it has to share, without attachment. By listening to it without attachment will let you understand where it is coming from and also, you will make yourself feel heard instead of rejecting it by saying, “it is illogical” (we have already established that’s not the case).
Now it’s time for you to take the driving seat and let the fears rest in the back seat.

How can you do that?

Talk to it, tell your inner critic, it is okay if you suck but you gotta start somewhere, everyone starts from somewhere. Nobody is born with the perfect photography, painting, drawing or writing skills. Everybody starts somewhere and the one thing that makes them good at what they do is “The Art of Practice”. Now it is your turn to practice. You learn and become better by the process of committing to mastery and not just by thinking about becoming better.

You might not be ever good enough but you will be better than before. You will be one step ahead on the road from where you started. Your inner critic will always be there and its standards are pretty high which is a good thing, it will always keep challenging you to never stop growing.

That is one promise I want you to make with yourself today if you want to become the best at what you do no matter what that is. Say it with me,

“I promise, I will never stop learning”

You did it. You are an amazing wholehearted creative and the world is lucky to have you around.

Keep doing the good you were born to do. If you aspire to become a part of an amazing community of creatives. You have an open invitation to join  “Art of Conscious Living” on facebook. I can’t wait to see what you have been working on and what you aim to bring to this world.

I aspire to make a community for creatives like You and Me, who are passionate about their creative goals. It is going to be a platform for wholehearted creatives to help each other, support each other, learn from each other and create together.

P.S. it will be a community of Creatives who believe in community over competition. If this sounds like you, come join the PARTY!

In case, you need a little bit of hand-holding here is how I can help you!

Share it with someone who needs a spark in their imagination.
