I'm in awe of this incredible community here on instagram. Every day I see people making efforts to connect, support and simply be there for anyone who might be in need. This is pretty amazing!

I want to take a moment and invite you to share random acts of kindness in the comments. Any one act of kindness that made you smile. Any one act that made you feel all the feelings and restored your faith in humanity. Any one act that you have witnessed on the internet or offline. It doesn't have to be specific to the #covid19 situation. Any one simple act will do :) I'm hoping to curate a thread of warmhearted moments to refer back to when any one of us is feeling in need of a little pick-me-up and I hope you'll join me :) I'll share mine in the comments below.

I'm thinking of sharing a little dose of positivit

I'm thinking of sharing a little dose of positivity and creative inspiration for you to accompany your tea time in the times of quarantine. For me, it is *almost* as my normal way of the being in the world except for the anxiety around the current global situation we are all in.

Let's prioritise self-care, creativity and cups of tea to navigate these times, gently and intentionally :) I have been on two of my favourite podcasts this year. Both of these conversations are packed with valuable insights.

1. On 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣, Ruth @ruthpoundwhite and I talked all about prioritising creativity in life and business. We dove into all things creative: what it means to be a creative person, how to be okay with creating imperfectly, how creativity helps us better understand and trust ourselves and how we both prioritise creativity even when we’re not feeling it.

2. On 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙡, Kayte @simpleandseason very kindly shared her insights around my struggles of building, owning and trusting my space as a multi-passionate creative. This was the conversation I needed to hear when I was starting out three years back. I spent the whole day today in my tiny little stud

I spent the whole day today in my tiny little studio (read: living room's corner) making the packaging for the 'You are a wildflower' affirmation cards pack.

After the packaging was ready, I went through each set, one by one, just to make sure everything is the way it was supposed to be. I found a typo. It is a spelling error and it is killing me! The perfectionist in me is dreading this tiny little mistake and I am trying to calm the voice of my inner critic by reminding how good enough is better than perfect (psst. it is one of the affirmations in the pack as well :) )

Anyway, I wanted to come on here and share this. I have tried a few ways I can 'correct' it. No matter what way I choose, I make it stand out more. I wonder if it is much better to leave it as it is. Forgive myself and let it go or try to obsess over it and make myself feel terrible. I think I am going to go with the former here.

You are a wildflower. A wildflower that blooms despite the odds. 🌼
This is the journey of embracing your wild. ‘You believe the stories you tell yourself’
Then why not tell yourself the stories that serve you better?

There was a time in my life when I didn’t pay attention to how I was feeling let alone how I wanted to feel. I didn’t know I had the power to choose that for myself. As I grew older and hopefully wiser, I learned how it is all about the mindset.

I remember writing down this very sentence in my journal, ‘you believe the stories you tell yourself’. The moment you start paying attention to those stories, things start to shift in subtle yet meaningful ways. At least that was the case for me.

Our mind is an amazing thing. It is evolved to keep us safe. The subconscious part of it cannot really tell the difference between what’s real and what’s a perceived threat. I was surprised to see the kind of stories I had been telling myself even over little things. Someone not replying to my email turned into my work isn’t good enough. Not getting everything right turned into I can’t get anything right. It really is about the mindset. Isn’t it?

As I am typing this, I have an affirmation tapped to the corner of my laptop’s screen. It reads, ‘What I have to say is important and I am worthy of being listened to’

It serves as a permission slip.

A reassurance.

Seeing this affirmation on a more day to day basis led me to feel more in tune with myself. I found myself writing a bunch of affirmations as part of my morning routine. Every day, I will write the same ones over and over again. I was feeling pretty excited about it. I could see how it was rewiring my brain to tell new and better stories. Stories that serve me. It led me to design this product and I've decided to share it with you too! I'll be sharing a giveaway at about 4 pm CET today. Watch this space :)🤗

Wildflowers are my current obsession. I have illustrated hundreds of them in the past few months. Some of them made it to the final product and others didn't. I have designed a collection of affirmation cards and the concept behind this collection is:

- A wildflower that blooms despite the odds and affirmations are the right conditions that make it possible for you to grow.⁠

They are all hand-illustrated and handwritten (digitally) and I have spent months on making it real. Each illustration tells a story.⁠
